The benefit of taking theses courses:Do you work in a licensed or registered home? Many childcare providers working in a home care setting across the US and on US military bases have used our courses listed above to renew their CDA. For a limited time we are offering CDA renewal sets for a discount. The Course Set discount as listed is valid until February 1, 2009. This offer is not good with any other discounts. Courses must be ordered as a set and used by one person. No additional costs apply and priority postage and handling are included. To receive a discount on your Family Child Care CDA training courses, select the link above. The link will take you to a secure shopping cart. You may also print an order form by clicking here and selecting "print" from the top of your screen. Send your printed form to CARE Courses with a check or money order, or phone your credit card order to us at 1-800-685-7610. There is no time limit on completion of our courses, although the CDA Council does have a time limit for getting the CDA. If all courses are unused you may obtain a refund, minus a 15% restocking fee (please call first for your return authorization number), up to 30 days from the date of your order. Refunds are only given for the complete, unused set. Please note that while you may use our courses to get the 4.5 CEUs you need for the direct assessment CDA, our school is a private one and is not affiliated with the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition, which is the organization that grants the CDA. What is a CDA? - “CDA” stands for “Child Development Associate” and is a credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington DC. The CDA can be used in various ways depending on your state and what type of child care facility and age of children you work with. A CDA is a professional credential, not a college degree. Ask your center director or call the Council at 1-800-424-4310 to see how a CDA can benefit you. The credential is awarded for three childcare settings: 1) Center-based, for which candidates receive endorsements to work with infants & toddlers or preschoolers; 2) Family Child Care; and 3) Home Visitor.
