Following the chronological study of child development started in Infants in Child Care and Toddlers in Child Care, this course covers the physical, cognitive , language, emotional, and social development of three, four and five-year-olds.  You will learn ways to facilitate children's optimum development and keep children safe and healthy.

20 hours in the following areas:

1 hour in language development

1 hour in positive guidance

4 hours in curriculum development

3 hours in safety

1 hour in health/nutrition

[6 hours in teacher/child interaction - these hours overlap with guidance, curriculum, language development, and child growth and development]
