| (New York caregivers check here for clock hours: NY Training Topics) Witnesses to Violence Course Description: Learn strategies for helping children cope with violence in their world. This course focuses on what children witness, covering subjects such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the impact of domestic violence on young children, helping children deal with violence in the news, using the classroom to help shelter children, partnering with parents, school-age children and violence, and many tools and ideas for you to use in the ongoing work of helping children cope, heal, and find peace in their world. The course fee entitles one person to receive the clock hours (and CEUs for CDA renewal) granted by this course (assuming you pass each lesson/chapter with a 70% or better). Once you have completed the course and mailed (electronic courses may be faxed) in your answers to us, you can expect to receive your certificate within 1-3 weeks (depending on the grading option you choose).
