Advantages: carry the books with you wherever you go, read them in between other activities or in the same room children are napping, courses are professionally printed, keep the books for future reference, standard shipping is free, all courses come in book format. Disadvantages: takes a few days to get to you via mail or UPS, your finished work must be mailed to us.
Most book courses have one workbook that includes everything you need - the information, quizzes, sheets to send in, etc. You will need to provide an envelope and stamp to put your work in (one or two sheets of paper provided at the back of the book) to send to us.
A few courses require that you read a textbook along with your workbook. You may order these textbooks from us, from a bookstore, or you might find them at a library. Courses that require textbooks are clearly listed with them.
You read the workbook, and textbook if there is one (reading assignments are listed in the workbook), answer questions based on the reading, send in your answers to us (by mail), we grade your work, return your work to you graded and then issue you a certificate (by mail) if you pass each lesson with a 70% or better. How E-Courses work:
Advantages: delivery is immediate, get started right away, your finished work can be faxed or mailed to us, hyperlinks make it easy to move between course pages. Disadvantages: not for Mac computers, don't print well on your printer, you must do the work at your computer which can be difficult if you have children in your life, not all courses are available in E-Course format.
After ordering a course online, download the course to your computer's desktop and be sure to keep the emailed receipt that contains your Online Order ID. Technical issues with ecourses can be directed to: techsupport@carecourses.com. Read the material by clicking through the pages (much like clicking through links on a website) on your computer, answer questions based on the reading, send in your answers (you will send in four items: Answer Sheet, Enrollment Form, Evaluation Form and your Emailed Receipt) to us (mail or fax), we grade your work, return your work to you graded and then issue you a certificate (by mail) if you pass each lesson with a 70% or better. Skip down to the section "How all Care Courses work" for the rest of the story.
How PDF-Courses work:
Advantages: delivery is immediate, get started right away, for both PCs and Macs, your finished work can be faxed or mailed back to us, PDfs print beautifully on your printer. Disadvantages: if you print them you are using your own paper and toner, not quite as easy to tell where you are in the course as an E-Course because you are scrolling through pages and not using hyperlinks, not all courses are available in PDF format.
After ordering a PDF-Course online, make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat on your computer, then download the course to your computer's desktop and be sure to keep the emailed receipt that contains your Online Order ID. Technical issues with PDF-Courses can be directed to: techsupport@carecourses.com. Read the material by scrolling through the PDF pages or print the course on your own paper and carry the pages around with you. Answer questions based on the reading, send in your answers (you will send in four items: Answer Sheet, Enrollment Form, Evaluation Form and your Emailed Receipt) to us (mail or fax), we grade your work, return your work to you graded and then issue you a certificate (by mail) if you pass each lesson with a 70% or better.
