Employees in day care centers and assistants in family day care homes should confirm with their employers that the courses are acceptable to the employer. The course Children with Special Needs: Physical Disabilities, which includes special Illinois Early Intervention System Information, is approved for the Illinois disabilities training requirement. Please request the Illinois attachment when you order this course. Illinois certificates for this course will state that the course includes information on the Illinois Early Intervention System to meet the Illinois disabilities training requirement. Illinois family child care pre-service requirements: The course Infant Safety is approved for the Illinois Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) training requirements (rules 406 and 408).
