Ohio State
Requirements: Grants available for CDA
training from CARE Courses: CARE Courses is approved
as an Eligible Training Provider for CDA training in Ohio and our CDA training
sets are eligible for funding through the Ohio Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
For information about how to obtain a WIA grant for our CDA training sets,
contact your local Job and Family Services agency.
The Ohio Department of Jobs
and Family Services has issued new regulations for the use of self-instructional
study to meet continuing education requirements. The following paragraphs are
quoted from Ohio's website.

education requirements for professional certification as a type B home provider
or in-home aide.
To Be Effective: April 1, 2003
(C) Audiovisual and self-instructional study may be used to meet no more than
three hours of the required six annual hours with the supervision and approval
of the CDJFS.
