Washington State
Requirements: Washington child care providers who wish to use CARE Courses for STARS
credit please note the following important information:
(1)
Washington child care providers must complete and mail in to STARS a
Continuing Education Proposal Form in order for each course to be
considered toward meeting STARS annual training requirement. The
Continuing Education Proposal Form (available in both English and Spanish)
may be downloaded and printed through the following link:
STARS
The
Continuing Education Proposal Form should be mailed to: STARS Program
Washington AEYC 841 N. Central Ave., #206 Kent, WA 98032. For more
information about the STARS requirements, phone 800-727-3103, ext 17.
All
courses offered by CARE Courses meet the following STARS requirements:
(2) Each
course offered by CARE Courses falls under at least one of the 11
Washington State Core Competency Areas.
(3) Every
course offered by CARE Courses is a course for adults and not a curriculum
for children.
