If you are a Minnesota child care provider who works in your home, this page is for you!  (Day care centers are not subject to these same restrictions).

For Minnesota childcare providers who work in their HOMES:

Your county licensing agency decides whether distance learning courses may be used for your annual training requirements. If you do not know if distance learning courses may be used in your area, please contact your own county licensor to determine whether these courses may be used in your county to meet the ongoing training requirement in the family child care licensing rules.

          Following are a list of counties we have heard from:

Anoka (Prior approval from your county licensor is encouraged)
Becker
Benton (every 3 years, CC providers may use our courses for training)
Big Stone
Brown
Carver (
Some, but not all, of your clock hours may come from distance learning courses.)

Chisago (will accept 2 hours per year)

For Minnesota child care providers who work in a DAY CARE CENTER:

Our courses are accepted by the Minnesota Department of Human Services toward their Annual In-Service Training Requirement for day care staff and directors regardless of which county you are in.
