Care Courses offers online training classes and book courses for child care providers, home visitors and parents. Use our childcare professional development clock hours for most US States continuing education inservice requirements and registries, for CDA Certification (Child Development Associate Credential), for CDA Renewal and for NAC Renewal. All our professional development courses give both Clock Hours and IACET CEUs toward CDA Renewal.

California Childcare Training Requirements: Care Courses may be used as professional growth activities towards renewing a Child Development Permit with prior approval from your professional growth advisor.

There are 6 levels of permits (child development assistant, child development associate teacher, child development teacher, child development master teacher, child development site supervisor, child development program director). To renew a Child Development Permit, you must plan a program of professional growth activities in consultation with a professional growth advisor. Permit renewal requires 105 hours of professional growth activities that contribute to your growth as an early childhood educator. You may choose activities from the following wide range of categories but must complete activities in at least two of the following categories in order to achieve breadth and depth within the professional growth program.

  1. Complete one or more college or university courses
  2. Attend conferences, workshops, institutes, academies
  3. Provide service in a leadership role in which you contribute to the improvements of the center or group of centers above and beyond the requirements of your job
  4. Provide service in a leadership role in a professional organization
  5. Provide service as a professional growth advisor for holders of a Child Development Permit
  6. Conduct educational research and innovation
  7. Perform systematic programs of observation and analysis of teaching, curriculum, classroom management techniques, play, or circle activities at a similar professional level in your field.
  8. Participate in a program of independent study
  9. Improve basic skills
  10. Participate in creative endeavors
  11. Receive instruction in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or First Aid.

Our courses are accepted in LA County for the education requirements for the Investing in Early Educators Stipend Program only if you already have a BA/BS (or higher) degree.
