Course Description: 

This course applies to children of all ages. 

Effective parent communication systems are critical to all child care programs. Parents need both daily information about their children's routine and development and formal communication sessions. Learn to plan and conduct productive conferences, group meetings, and home visits with parents and maintain a positive relationship with parents. This course includes sample conference preparation, agendas, attendance improvement suggestions, and many helpful tips and guidelines for better meetings with parents. Learning Outcomes: After completing Conferencing with Parents you will be able to explain the value of group meetings, home visits, teacher-parent and teacher-parent-child conferences; identify components of productive group meetings, home visits, teacher-parent and teacher-parent-child conferences; and identify methods to engage parents, including those from other cultures.

Should you fail to do so, you will receive a letter indicating that you did not pass the course and may not retake the course for 12 months.
