Georgia Transportation Safety Course Description:

Transporting young children is a serious responsibility. Learn ways to help ensure children's safe transportation.  This course was written to meet the transportation requirement listed the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning Child Care Licensing Rules Chapter 591-1-1-.36 (1)(a). See the course topics listed below for more information on what is covered.

Learning Outcomes: After completing Georgia Transportation Safety you will be able to identify legal requirements and best practices for transportation in child care; choose the safest child restraint systems and transportation methods; and explain how to work with parents to ensure their children’s safety in and around vehicles.

Attention Georgia Students: This Georgia Transportation Safety course may only be taken by Georgia child care directors and staff. Not in Georgia? Take the national edition, Transportation Safety.

This course is approved for the 2 hour Georgia transportation training required by the Georgia Child Care Learning Center Rule 591-1-1-.36.

NAC: The NECPA Commission, Inc. has approved this educational program as meeting the criteria for continuing education for the National Administrator Credential.

Care Courses offers over 60 professional development courses and one non-credit training tutorial on the CDA process. All courses offer clock hours and an official mailed certificate of completion. The CDA tutorial does not offer clock hours or a certificate.

Care Courses' course tuition entitles one person to receive the clock hours granted by a course upon successful completion.  Bundle pricing covers tuition for all the courses included in a bundle.

To receive the CEUs and Clock Hours for a course, you must follow directions on written assignments and show comprehension of the course content. You must make 70% or better on all course quizzes. Less than 70% will result in trainer review and evaluation. If review indicates the need for discussion, you will be informed that you must speak with a trainer. You will be given a second chance to make 70% or better. Should you fail to do so, you will receive a letter indicating that you did not pass the course and may not retake the course for 12 months.

Clock hours and CEUs are documented on original Care Courses certificates of completion mailed through the US Post Office. All course formats receive an original mailed certificate. Once you have completed a course and submitted your answers to us you can expect to receive your certificate within 10 business days (depending on the grading & certificate option you choose).
