The following courses are approved by the Center for Early Learning Professionals for Rhode Island state training
requirements:
Biting Hurts!,
Creating Schedules and Routines,
Fun and Fitness: Addressing Childhood Obesity,
A Joyful Life of Caregiving,
Parents and Child Care, Sun Safety,
Supporting Breastfeeding in Child Care, Toddlers in Child Care, and Toilet Learning.
Up to 10 hours of unapproved training may be used by child care center leadership and classroom staff toward the
required 20 hours of annual training. Care Courses not listed above may be used for these 10 hours of training.
