Tennessee Childcare Training Requirements
All Care Courses (with the exception of Active Threat Preparation and Response for Early Childhood Settings, Advocacy in Early Childhood Education: Tools for Change, Cozy Corners and Reading Nooks: Creating Calm and Quiet Spaces, and Creative Alternatives to Time-Out for Toddlers and Preschoolers) are approved by Train TN and recognized by the Tennessee Department of Human Services for training requirements for those who work in group child care homes, drop-in child care centers, child care centers and family child care homes. This includes clock hours for directors, assistant directors, licensee, operators, owners, primary caregivers, caregivers, central operators, substitutes and volunteers.
To obtain Train TN registry training credit, please add your TNPAL ID number to the registry ID field in your Care Courses account.
