To meet Virginia Department of Education training standards, early childhood professionals must complete annual professional development hours. All Care Courses (with the exception of Medication Procedures in Child Care) can be used for the annual clock hours of training and staff development activities for those who work in child day centers and family day homes. This includes caregivers, program leaders, program directors, administrators, assistants, aides and substitute providers.
Use Care Courses training to apply for or renew your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or National Administrator Credential (NAC). All coursework is accepted toward CDA certification and renewal requirements in Virginia.
