NECPA Acceptance for NAC Renewal

National Administrator Credential (NAC) logoThe National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) oversees the National Administrator Credential (NAC) for early childhood program leaders. Care Courses provides self-paced training that is accepted for NAC renewal hours.

What is the NAC?

The NAC is a 45-hour administrator credential from NECPA for program directors and administrators. It focuses on leadership, staffing, compliance, finance, and operations.

What “NECPA acceptance” means here

  • Your Care Courses certificates from the approved list of courses can be applied toward the 24 hours required for NAC renewal.
  • Courses are self-paced and include instant printable certificates upon completion.
  • After earning 24 hours, you submit your renewal application and fee directly to NECPA.

What Care Courses does—and doesn’t—provide

  • We do: Offer online training accepted for NAC renewal, plus documentation (certificates/transcripts).
  • We don’t: Grant the NAC itself or enroll candidates in the initial 45-hour NAC course. Initial NAC enrollment is through NECPA.

How to renew the NAC

  1. Complete 24 clock hours of professional development covering administrator competencies (you can choose from our NAC-accepted courses).
  2. Save your Care Courses certificates after each course.
  3. Submit NECPA’s renewal application and fee on the NECPA website: NECPA NAC Renewal.
