National Childcare Credentials in Massachusetts:

Massachusetts Childcare Training Requirements 

All Care Courses are accepted by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) towards the yearly professional development activity requirements for educators, licensees, certified assistants, regular assistants, volunteers, assistant teachers, lead teachers directors, assistant leaders, group leaders and volunteers in a small group and school age child care, large group and school age child care, family child care and child care centers.     

Courses that grant 5 clock hours or more may be used to meet QRIS requirements. Please call us for help with course selection.

The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care will accept Child Development and Guidance to meet the full 3-college-credit Child Growth and Development requirement for infant-toddler and preschool Teachers and Lead Teachers until June 30, 2021 (MA Executive Order COVID-19 Order No. 36 allows EEC to modify Educator Qualification regulations). Certificates dated after June 30, 2021 will not be accepted towards this 3 credit Child Growth and Development requirement.  

Please note! Our courses are not accepted in Massachusetts towards becoming a Director. Child Development and Guidance, as outlined above, is the only course that may be used towards becoming a Lead Teacher; our courses may not be used towards the other Lead Teacher college credit requirements.
