Missouri Childcare Training Requirements

All online Care Courses are approved by the Missouri Professional Development System (formerly the Missouri Workshop Calendar) and may be used towards the 12 clock hours of child-care related training required annually for those who work in child care centers, group day care homes, family day care homes and license exempt child care facilities. This includes center directors, child care providers, caregivers, assistant caregivers and volunteers.

For OPEN Initiative Registry training credit, please add your OPEN Initiative Registry ID number to your Care Courses account. Thank you!

Please note: Only online format courses may be used to meet your annual training requirements. Courses in our coursebook format may not be used by Missouri caregivers to meet annual training requirements.

Our course Keeping Infants Safe may be used towards annual training but does not meet the Missouri requirement for safe sleep training.

Our course Safe Baby, Safe Child may be used towards annual training but does not meet the Missouri requirement for safe sleep training.

To receive Missouri Professional Development System training credit, please ensure that your Missouri Professional Development (MOPD) Registry ID number is added to your Care Courses account.
