Oregon Childcare Training Requirements 

All Care Courses are accepted by the Oregon Office of Child Care towards training requirements for those who work in certified child care centers, certified family child care homes and registered family child care homes. This includes clock hours for directors, head teachers, teachers, teacher aides, operators, owners, site directors, site coordinators, providers, caregivers, substitute providers, assistants, volunteers and registered family child care providers.

The Oregon Early Learning Division requires that all training credited toward licensing requirements must meet one or more of the core knowledge categories below.

Our courses are accepted towards Oregon Registry Steps 1-7. Oregon Step information is included on our certificates.

All Care Courses are Set 1 trainings. The Oregon Registry Online (ORO) does not accept repeated set 1 trainings. You can find Set 2 or 3 trainings by using the Oregon Registry search tools here.

Child Abuse and Neglect: A Caregiver's Guide to Adverse Childhood Experiences may not be used for the first year abuse and neglect requirement.

Oregon Registry Infant Toddler Professional Credential Training:

Infants in Child Care, Toddlers in Child Care, Keeping Infants Safeand Biting Hurts may all be used towards the 60 clock hours of training required to obtain this credential. Information on this credential can be found here
