Looking for an affordable CDA program? Successful completion of the Care Courses Infant/Toddler CDA training program will provide you with the 120 hours of formal training that you need to qualify for getting a CDA. All in affordable easy payments spread out over time.

In addition to the training and application requirements listed below in our payment plan, you must have completed 480 hours work experience in a licensed childcare setting with infants and toddlers and have a high school diploma (or equivalent).

3.) Order your CDA Competency Standards Book by phone or online from the CDA Council's Bookstore Start working through it when it arrives. We recommend that you order this book from the Council as soon as possible. $25.00

4.) Order your first CDA course: Principles of Child Development and Learning  We recommend that you study each course carefully and submit your quizzes to us online for grading. When you are almost finished with this course, please proceed to the next Payment Plan step.

Study this course carefully and proceed to the next Payment Plan step when you are almost finished. Continue reading your Competency Standards Book as you complete your Care Courses.

  • Purchase a CDA Competency Standards book in your CDA Setting from the Council.
  • Develop your Professional Portfolio following instructions in the Standards book.
3. Apply:
  • Find a Professional Development Specialist.
  • Complete the CDA application online and submit your $425 application fee.
4. Demonstrate your knowledge and skills:
  • Schedule a Verification Visit with your Professional Development Specialist.
  • Schedule your CDA Exam with Pearson VUE.
  • Take the CDA Exam at a Pearson VUE center.
